AW had an Order of Protection placed against him due to some bad legal advice given to him during his divorce. One day his soon to be ex saw his car in the parking lot near where she was shopping. She called the police and told them AW must have been stalking her. AW had no idea she was anywhere nearby. As he was returning to his car he was surrounded by police. When they confronted him AW tried to explain but the police wouldn’t listen and placed him under arrest. In court we filed several motions challenging the State’s case. We refused to give in and pushed the case for trial. Eventually, the complainant and State realized that the charges were trumped up and dismissed the case on the date of trial.
